The Official Opening Ceremony of Rumuchorlu IT/Training Centre and Secretariat was Donated by ISOC. On the 15th day of July, 2006:
It was dedicated to the memory oc Dr. Jon. B. Postel (1943-1998), and Prof. T. C. Nwodo (1938-2005), internet pioneers.
The Rumuchorlu IT/Training Centre is located at Ohakwe House, Opp. Rumuchorlu Daily Market, Old PH-Aba Road, Rumuokwurusi.
Rumuchorlu community boast of an ICT facility for people of all works of life to be introduced and exposed to the pontential of
several aspect of Information, Communication and Technology. This centre gives vision for advancing the community into 21st century
allowing people create information by taken advantage of the computer services such as Desk top publishing, Graphic creation,
printing etc. The ICT centre also manages information with services such as scanning, photocopying etc and allows for the passing
across of information such as e-mail, media files etc all around the world using fast internet connection.The Technology adopted by
the ICT centre gives room for expansion .
The centre offer training for individuals that have the quest for knowledge in ICT. |
